Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for ICU overflow and chest pain observation patients in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit has 10 beds, uses Cerner, and serves ICU and PCU overflow with 2:1 ICU and 4:1 to 5:1 PCU ratios.

• Monitor hemodynamics and respiratory status closely
• Manage ventilated patients and critical care infusions
• Administer sedatives, paralytics, and vasopressors as ordered
• Maintain central lines and other invasive access
• Assist with chest tube insertions and intubations
• Complete bedside shift report and nurse leader rounding

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• Medical ICU experience in a large facility
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Critical thinking, flexibility, and teamwork skills
