Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for ICU/PCU overflow patients on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 10 beds, uses Cerner, and supports 2:1 ICU and 4:1 to 5:1 PCU ratios.

• Monitor hemodynamic status and ventilator tolerance throughout the shift
• Administer critical care medications and IV sedation safely
• Assist with central line management and maintenance
• Support bedside procedures such as intubation and chest tube insertion
• Coordinate care for ICU and progressive care overflow patients
• Communicate changes in condition and complete bedside handoff

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Medical ICU experience in a large facility
• Ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring experience
• Critical care pharmacology knowledge
• Central line management skills
• Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills
