Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult patients in a progressive care unit in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 44-bed unit uses Cerner, serves trauma and neuro patients, and commonly works with a 4:1 ratio that can stretch to 5:1.

• Monitor progressive care patients and report changes promptly
• Perform neuro and spinal assessments and document findings
• Manage IV infusions, blood transfusions, and pain control support
• Assist with chest tube, trach, feeding tube, and PCA pump care
• Support mobility, lifting, and safety measures for complex patients
• Collaborate with the care team on admissions, transfers, and discharges

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Progressive care, neuro, or trauma care experience
• Strong assessment, documentation, and prioritization skills
