Travel PICU RN in Richmond, VA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for critically ill children in a pediatric intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The 10-bed combined pediatrics/PICU unit uses Expanse for charting and follows acuity-based staffing. Care is family centered and supported by pediatric respiratory therapists and intensivists.

• Assess pediatric patients and watch for deterioration
• Administer weight-based medications, IV therapy, and infusions
• Manage ventilated, high-flow oxygen, and noninvasive respiratory support
• Support central line care and invasive monitoring
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, and line placement
• Perform peripheral IVs, venipuncture, and specimen collection
• Provide family-centered education and coordination

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license or multistate compact privilege
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of hospital experience
• Recent bedside PICU experience
• Strong pediatric assessment, IV therapy, and emergency response skills
