Travel PICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide high-acuity care in a pediatric intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit cares for combined pediatric cardiac and medical critical care patients, has 25 beds, and uses Epic.

• Monitor unstable pediatric cardiac and medical ICU patients
• Manage ventilated, tracheostomy, and airway support needs
• Assist with arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and invasive monitoring
• Administer blood products, vasoactive medications, insulin, and sedation
• Support emergency interventions and rapid changes in patient condition
• Interpret rhythms, blood gases, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Provide care for patients on ECMO, VADs, CRRT, and EVD support

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending allowed
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Pediatric CVICU experience
• Peritoneal dialysis/CAPD experience
• Trauma Level I experience
