Travel PICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a hospital pediatric intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 25-bed unit manages high-acuity cardiac and medical cases, uses Epic charting, and supports ECMO, VADs, and CRRT.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric cardiac and medical patients
• Manage ventilator support, airway care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer blood products, sedation, insulin, and vasoactive medications
• Assist with central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and other devices
• Interpret rhythms, ABGs, and neurologic or respiratory changes
• Coordinate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Provide family-centered care for complex pediatric critical care needs

• BLS and PALS
• Virginia Registered Nurse license, or pending licensure
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Pediatric critical care skills with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, central lines, arterial lines, and medication administration

• Pediatric cardiac experience
• CRRT experience
• Pediatric CVICU experience
• Trauma Level I experience
