Travel PICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse will provide care across pediatric critical care and related inpatient units on a 52-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The assignment includes PICU, NICU, acute pediatrics, and the pediatric emergency department, with Epic charting and a high-acuity pediatric population.

• Deliver bedside care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and occasional postpartum patients
• Monitor respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic status in high-acuity pediatric settings
• Assist with ventilator support, vasoactive infusions, airway care, and invasive line management
• Administer medications, blood products, and enteral nutrition per pediatric protocols
• Support procedures, specimen collection, and emergency response with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments and interventions in Epic

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, with pending license accepted
• BLS, NRP, and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• PICU experience with comfort in NICU, Acute Pediatrics, and pediatric emergency care
• Teaching hospital experience, Epic charting experience, and prior travel experience
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate and pediatric dosage calculations

• ACLS
• APHON or CPHON certification
• ECMO, VAD, and post-cardiac pediatric critical care experience
• Charge experience, Level III NICU experience, or trauma level I or II experience
