Travel PICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care for pediatric patients in a hospital PICU on a 52-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit has 25 beds, uses Epic, and maintains 1:1 or 1:2 ratios for high-acuity cardiac and medical cases. It serves neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with cardiac and medical critical care needs, using advanced support devices.

• Provide bedside care for critically ill pediatric cardiac and medical patients
• Manage ventilators, noninvasive support, and airway care
• Support ECMO, VAD, and CRRT therapies
• Administer blood products, vasoactive infusions, and complex medications
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and care for arterial and central lines
• Document assessments and interventions in Epic

• Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending Virginia licensure
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Epic charting experience
• Pediatric critical care skills with ventilator, hemodynamic, and line management
• Pediatric dosage calculation proficiency

• Pediatric cardiac experience
• CRRT and peritoneal dialysis/CAPD experience
• Pediatric CVICU experience
• Trauma Level I experience
