Travel PICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill newborns, children, and teens in a hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The role covers PICU, NICU, acute pediatrics, and pediatric emergency patients with Epic charting. The setting is a teaching hospital with high-acuity pediatric and neonatal care.

• Provide direct care to critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients
• Monitor respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic status
• Assist with ventilator support, airway care, and blood gas review
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, and other access devices
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support services
• Document assessments and care in Epic

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending licensure accepted
• BLS, NRP, and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Epic charting experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Prior travel experience

• Pediatric PACU experience
• ACLS
• APHON, CPHON, or OCN
• ECMO, ventricular assist device, or Level III NICU experience
