Travel PICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide high-acuity care in a hospital PICU on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves neonates through adolescents with pediatric cardiac and medical critical care patients, uses Epic, and maintains a 1:1 to 1:2 ratio.

• Assess and care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with high-acuity needs
• Monitor hemodynamics, oxygenation, ventilation, and neurologic status
• Administer blood products, IV medications, and continuous infusions
• Manage ventilated patients, airway support, lines, drains, and tubes
• Support sedation, pain control, and procedural preparation
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, imaging, and other care teams

• Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending
• BLS and PALS
• 2 years of PICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Pediatric dosage calculations and critical care assessment skills

• CRRT
• Pediatric CVICU experience
• Peritoneal dialysis or CAPD
• Trauma Level I experience
• Pediatric cardiac experience
