Travel PICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care for pediatric patients in a hospital unit during a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The assignment uses Epic and serves neonates through adolescents in a teaching hospital setting.

• Assess critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor respiratory, cardiac, and neurologic status
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Support ventilator, airway, and hemodynamic care
• Assist with procedures and emergency interventions
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate and support families

• Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending Virginia licensure
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certification
• 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• PICU experience with neonatal, acute pediatric, and pediatric emergency care
• Epic charting, teaching hospital, and prior travel experience
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate

• ACLS certification
• APHON, CPHON, or OCN certification
• ECMO, CRRT, and ventricular assist device experience
• Congenital heart disease or post cardiac surgery experience
• Level III NICU, Trauma Level I, Trauma Level II, or charge experience
