Travel PACU RN in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will provide pre-op and PACU care in an outpatient unit at an acute care hospital in Santa Rosa, California on an 18-week contract. It supports outpatient surgeries for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with about 10 patients daily, 4 rooms, Epic charting, and a 2:1 assignment; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Perform pre-op assessments and review histories and physicals
• Monitor phase I and phase II recovery
• Support airway management and sedation recovery
• Administer IV medications and infusion therapy
• Start and maintain IV access
• Provide discharge teaching and follow-up guidance
• Track labs, EKGs, and blood product needs

• California Registered Nurse license, pending accepted
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• 1 year PACU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Airway assessment, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and IV start skills

• Pediatric PACU experience
• Monitored anesthesia care and nerve block recovery
• Port, central line, and PICC care
