Travel PACU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will care for adults in the PACU unit on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit has 18 bays and uses Meditech Magic. Patients may require ICU-level recovery, with 1:1 staffing at first and 2:1 when stable.

• Monitor post-anesthesia recovery and assess airway, pain, neurologic status, and hemodynamics
• Support patients needing ICU-level observation during immediate recovery
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge readiness with the care team
• Document assessments and care in the charting system
• Prepare rooms and supplies for incoming PACU patients
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS
• 2 years of PACU experience
• ICU level of care competency
