Travel Orthopedics RN in Denver, CO

A Travel Orthopedics Registered Nurse will care for post-operative orthopedic and spine patients in a hospital unit in Denver, Colorado on a 13-week contract. The unit has 36 beds, uses Meditech, and commonly manages total joint and spine surgery patients with 1:5 nurse ratios. It is a Magnet hospital with a collaborative team environment.

• Assess post-operative orthopedic and neuro patients
• Monitor pain, mobility, and recovery after total joint and spine surgery
• Administer medications and supportive treatments per plan of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in Meditech
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse, techs, and other team members
• Educate patients and families on recovery, bracing, and safe movement

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of current orthopedic or medical-surgical Registered Nurse experience in a hospital setting

• Orthopedic and spine surgery experience
