Travel Medical Assistant in Edmonds, WA

A Travel Medical Assistant-Certified Medical Assistant will support adult outpatient infectious disease care in a clinic on a 13-week contract in Edmonds, Washington. The role serves adult and geriatric patients and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, pulse oximetry, vision screening, and 12-lead EKGs
• Room patients and record histories, medications, and allergies
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with dressing changes, pap smears, and sterile tray setup
• Collect and label specimens and run strep and urine dipstick testing
• Administer injections, immunizations, TB tests, and medications as directed
• Support scheduling, insurance checks, supply ordering, and telephone triage

• Washington Medical Assistant-Certified license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of Medical Assistant-Certified experience in an adult outpatient clinic
• Epic charting experience
• Vital signs, rooming patients, specimen collection, and injection skills

• General or family practice clinic experience
• Dermatology or pulmonary clinic experience
• Wound care, suture removal, and telephone triage
