Travel Medical Assistant in Edmonds, WA

A Travel Medical Assistant Certified Medical Assistant will support an urgent care clinic in Edmonds, Washington on a 13-week contract. The role serves infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in an 11-room clinic and uses Epic.

• Room patients and collect histories, medications, and allergies
• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, pulse oximetry, vision testing, and EKGs
• Assist with nebulizer treatments and ear lavage
• Administer injections, immunizations, and medications within scope
• Collect and label throat, urine, and other specimens
• Perform point-of-care tests for glucose, pregnancy, strep, and urinalysis
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms

• Basic Life Support certification
• Medical Assistant-Certified credential
• 1 year of adult and pediatric outpatient clinic experience
• Epic charting experience
• Prior travel experience

• Venipuncture and wound care
• Telephone triage and follow-up calls
• Sterile tray setup and autoclaving
• Splinting and dressing changes
