Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in West Des Moines, IA

A Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide inpatient nursing care in an acute care hospital in West Des Moines, Iowa for a 26-week contract. The unit cares for med-surg and telemetry patients on a hospital floor.

• Assess patient status and monitor cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and ordered treatments
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions and patient response
• Educate patients and families on care plans
• Recognize changes in condition and escalate concerns

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse license and certification verification
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
