Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Richmond, VA

A Travel Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide patient care on a neuro and stroke unit in Richmond, Virginia for a 13-week contract. The unit uses remote telemetry and Meditech, and serves medical, surgical, stroke, and neuro patients.

• Provide direct care to medical-surgical, telemetry, stroke, and neuro patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry changes
• Complete neuro assessments and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and support ordered treatments
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Meditech
• Reinforce patient education and discharge planning

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification

• NIH Stroke certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
