Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Richmond, VA

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit in Richmond, Virginia for a 13-week contract. The 33-bed unit has 5:1 to 6:1 ratios, uses Meditech, and is part of a Level I trauma hospital.

• Monitor telemetry rhythms and report patient changes promptly
• Administer medications and support bedside monitoring during push doses
• Assess medical-surgical patients and document care in the electronic record
• Coordinate with the care team to deliver safe, timely treatment
• Assist with incision and drainage support, peritoneal dialysis, and thoracentesis care
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout the shift

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Basic rhythm interpretation skills
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Medical-surgical nursing experience
• Strong patient focus
