Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Orangeburg, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The unit serves adult and geriatric patients with diabetes, HTN, CAD, seizure, CVA, TIA, and chronic renal disease, and uses Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Assess and care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications, oxygen, and blood products
• Manage IVs, central lines, PICC lines, and ports
• Provide care for chest tubes, tracheostomies, drains, and wounds
• Follow isolation precautions and support rapid response care

• South Carolina or compact Registered Nurse license in hand before start
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience
• Telemetry competency
• Clinical skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, line care, and wound care

• NIHSS
• Previous charge experience
• Community hospital experience
• Charting system experience
