Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for orthopedic and trauma patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The 23-bed unit uses Meditech and supports post-op joint replacements, trauma, and some neuro overflow, with ratios of 1:4 and 1:5. The setting includes Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center services.

• Provide nursing care for orthopedic, trauma, and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac status and respond to changes in condition
• Support recovery after joint replacement and other post-op care
• Assist with bedside shift report and hourly rounding
• Collaborate with unit secretaries and patient care technicians
• Document care in the charting system
• Apply traction, fixators, and cooling equipment as needed

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Orthopedic nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• NIH Stroke Scale familiarity
