Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for ortho and trauma patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The unit has 23 beds, 1:4 to 1:5 ratios, uses Meditech, and sees post-op joint replacements, trauma cases, and some neuro overflow in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

• Monitor telemetry and neuro status for ortho and trauma patients
• Provide post-op care for joint replacement patients
• Assist with traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Complete bedside shift report and hourly rounding
• Coordinate care with PCTs and unit secretary support
• Document assessments and interventions in Meditech

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Orthopedic and telemetry clinical skills

• NIH Stroke Scale familiarity
