Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for orthopedic and trauma patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The 23-bed unit has Meditech, a unit secretary, and PCT support. It serves trauma patients and some neuro overflow and holds Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center designations.

• Provide nursing care for post-op orthopedic, trauma, and telemetry patients
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neuro status
• Assist with traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Perform bedside shift report and hourly rounding
• Administer medications and coordinate care with the team
• Support recovery after knee, hip, and shoulder replacements

• Active Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Orthopedic nursing experience
• Telemetry nursing experience

• NIH Stroke Scale experience
