Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for orthopedic and trauma patients on a hospital unit during a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The unit has 23 beds, uses Meditech, and typically staffs 1:4 to 1:5. It is a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.

• Provide care for orthopedic, trauma, and post-op joint replacement patients
• Monitor telemetry and report changes in patient condition
• Assist with traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Perform bedside shift report and hourly rounding
• Document assessments, treatments, and responses in Meditech
• Support neuro assessments for overflow patients

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Orthopedic nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with post-op joint replacement and trauma care

• NIH Stroke Scale experience
