Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for orthopedic and trauma patients in a hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on a 13-week contract. The 23-bed unit uses Meditech, supports post-op joint replacements and some neuro overflow, and has 1:4 to 1:5 ratios in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

• Provide direct nursing care to ortho and trauma patients
• Monitor post-op patients and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Support use of traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Document assessments and care in Meditech
• Perform bedside shift report and hourly rounding

• Active Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Orthopedic and telemetry experience
• Experience with med surg or trauma patients

• NIH Stroke Scale experience
• Neuro overflow experience
