Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for orthopedic and trauma patients in an acute care hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on a 13-week contract. The 23-bed unit uses Meditech and serves post-op joint replacements, trauma, and some neuro overflow. It is part of a level 1 trauma center and a comprehensive stroke center.

• Monitor orthopedic and telemetry patients
• Assist with post-op joint replacement care
• Assess trauma patients and neuro changes
• Support traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Document care in Meditech accurately
• Perform bedside shift report and hourly rounding

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Orthopedic nursing experience
• Telemetry experience
• NIH Stroke Scale knowledge
