Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for orthopedic and trauma patients in an acute care hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on a 13-week contract. The 23-bed unit uses Meditech, has 1:4 to 1:5 ratios, and serves post-op joint replacement and trauma patients with some neuro overflow in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

• Monitor Med Surg and telemetry patients
• Provide care for post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients
• Assist with trauma and neuro overflow care
• Document patient care in Meditech
• Support bedside shift report and hourly rounding
• Use traction, fixators, and cooling equipment as directed

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Acute care Med Surg and telemetry experience
• Orthopedic and trauma nursing skills

• NIH Stroke Scale familiarity
