Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for adult orthopedic spine patients in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The 26-bed unit uses Epic and has a 1:5-6 ratio. The hospital is a teaching Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma center, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and assess adult medical-surgical patients
• Provide post-operative orthopedic spine care and pain support
• Assist with bedside lumbar punctures, post cath care, post renal biopsy care, and CT angio recovery
• Manage heparin drips and other ordered therapies
• Support mobility, physical therapy, and safe recovery goals
• Coordinate care with support services and interdisciplinary teams
• Document assessments and interventions in Epic

• Active South Carolina or multistate Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
• Orthopedic experience
• Epic charting experience
• Dysrhythmia certification

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Community hospital experience
