Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide telemetry-capable care for hospitalized older adults in a hospital setting on a 13 week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The 26 bed ACE unit cares for patients age 65 and older, uses Epic, and is part of a teaching medical center with Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma designation.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Provide care for older adult medical-surgical patients
• Start and maintain IV access and line care
• Administer blood products and manage heparin protocols
• Support mobility, recovery, and return to baseline function
• Coordinate care with therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Active South Carolina or multistate Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
• 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Epic experience
• Experience with IV starts, blood product administration, and central, peripheral, and PICC line care
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and heparin protocols

• Port access and management
• PCA experience
• Previous charge experience
