Travel Med Surg RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult med-surg and orthopedic patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The 34-bed unit uses Meditech and manages a 6:1 patient ratio in a new setting.

• Assess and monitor adult medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and support daily care plans
• Assist with traction care, spine care, and joint precautions
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient needs
• Document care accurately in the electronic record
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns

• Current Kansas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Med/Surg/Ortho experience

• ACLS certification
• Familiarity with traction
• Spine, hip, and joint precautions
