Travel Med Surg RN in Overland Park, KS

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care on a med-surg unit in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Overland Park, Kansas. The 24-bed unit uses Meditech and typical ratios are 6:1.

• Provide direct inpatient care to medical-surgical patients
• Monitor clinical status, vital signs, and dysrhythmias
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood-related treatments as ordered
• Manage peripheral IVs, central lines, Foley catheters, NG tubes, drains, and wound care
• Assist with chest tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, ostomy care, and EKGs
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse, nursing staff, and support staff

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• Prior inpatient acute care experience
• Basic dysrhythmia interpretation

• Trauma center experience
