Travel Med Surg RN in Pratt, KS

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for post-op orthopedic and medical patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Pratt, Kansas. The small unit serves adolescents through geriatrics, averages 12 patients a day, and uses Trubridge charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide care for medical-surgical and post-op orthopedic patients
• Assess and monitor general surgery recovery and complications
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs and assist with central access care
• Administer blood products and support ordered therapies
• Manage telemetry, oxygen, and respiratory support equipment
• Perform wound, drain, ostomy, and feeding tube care
• Collaborate with charge staff, therapy, and rapid response teams

• Kansas Registered Nurse license or compact license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 years of medical-surgical experience
• Strong orthopedic and general surgery experience
• IV initiation, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care

• Total hip and knee experience
• PALS and NIHSS certification
• Rural health or community hospital experience
• Charge nurse experience and Trubridge charting system experience
