Travel Med Surg RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will care for post-operative patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit has 36 beds, a 1:6 ratio, and uses Meditech charting. It is a fast-paced medical-surgical setting.

• Provide post-operative medical-surgical care
• Monitor patient status and report changes
• Perform wound care and dressing changes
• Manage drains and related treatments
• Administer medications and IV therapy
• Support patient education and advocacy
• Collaborate with the clinical team

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program

• Post-operative patient experience
• Wound care and dressing change skills
• Drain management experience
