Travel Med Surg RN in Florence, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide adult and geriatric care in an acute care hospital medical surgical unit on a 13 week contract in Florence, South Carolina. The unit serves common medical and surgical diagnoses, including diabetes, renal disease, stroke, and chest pain, with Epic charting and telemetry monitoring supported by central monitor techs. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor adult medical surgical patients
• Administer medications, including insulin, and maintain IV access
• Provide wound care and ostomy care
• Support telemetry monitoring and respond to rapid response needs
• Manage oxygen therapy, suctioning, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with the care team for stroke, chest pain, and renal patients

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license or compact license in hand before start
• BLS certification
• 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience
• Epic charting experience

• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Previous charge experience
• Experience with ports, blood product administration, and telemetry management
