Per Diem Med Surg RN in South Carolina

A Per Diem Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult patients in a hospital unit in Charleston, South Carolina. Epic charting and a 1:5 patient ratio support daily care.

• Assess adult medical-surgical patients and update care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and insulin per protocol
• Respond to rapid changes in condition and assist with Rapid Response and code teams
• Manage feeding tubes, surgical drains, ostomies, tracheostomy care, and wound needs
• Support oxygen therapy, oral suctioning, and noninvasive airway care
• Document care in Epic and maintain isolation precautions

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of medical-surgical experience
• Current BLS
• Epic charting experience
• IV therapy, blood product administration, insulin protocols, tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I or Level II trauma experience
