Travel Med Surg RN in Florence, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Florence, South Carolina. The unit serves adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with a 36-bed general surgery and medical-surgical population and Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Coordinate with surgeons during daily rounds
• Prepare patients for surgery with preoperative bathing and readiness checks
• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Manage IV access, central lines, drains, and blood products
• Support respiratory therapies and airway care
• Promote mobility, recovery, and wound care after surgery

• Active South Carolina or multistate Compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 3 years of medical-surgical experience
• Epic charting experience

• ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma level I or II experience and advanced skills with ports, CVA, ortho trauma, renal failure, or post-angiogram patients
