Per Diem Med Surg RN in South Carolina

A Per Diem Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adults on a medical-surgical unit in Charleston, South Carolina. Epic charting supports a 1:5 ratio with routine IV, respiratory, wound, and tube care needs.

• Monitor adult medical-surgical patients and respond to changes in condition
• Activate rapid response or code teams as needed
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products
• Manage IV insulin protocols, IV access, and phlebotomy tasks
• Provide bowel obstruction, ostomy, feeding tube, drain, and wound care
• Support oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, suctioning, isolation precautions, and Epic charting

• 2 years of medical-surgical experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
• Current BLS certification
• Epic charting experience
• Clinical skills in IV starts, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and oxygen support

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I or II trauma experience
