Per Diem Med Surg RN in South Carolina

A Per Diem Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide adult medical-surgical care in a hospital unit in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit uses Epic charting and maintains a 1:5 patient ratio.

• Assess adult medical-surgical patients and update care plans
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy
• Support rapid response and code team activities
• Monitor blood products, phlebotomy and vascular access needs
• Care for feeding tubes, drains, oxygen support and tracheostomy needs
• Implement isolation precautions and coordinate wound care

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• 1.5 years of medical-surgical experience
• Epic charting experience
• Prior travel experience
• 1:2 patient assignment experience

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I and Level II trauma experience
• Telemetry monitoring, peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis and vascular access management
