Per Diem Med Surg RN in South Carolina

A Per Diem Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for adult and geriatric patients in a transplant and renal inpatient unit in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit manages medical-surgical and post-transplant patients with a 1:5 ratio.

• Monitor adults and geriatrics in a transplant and medical-surgical setting
• Administer blood products, IV insulin, and other ordered therapies
• Manage peripheral and central lines, surgical drains, and oxygen support
• Assist with renal care, peritoneal dialysis, and transplant-related monitoring
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Document care accurately in Epic and follow isolation precautions

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of medical-surgical experience
• Epic charting experience
• Computerized documentation skills

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience
• Port, PICC, and arterial line management
