Travel Med Surg RN in Florence, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care in a hospital medical-surgical and general surgery unit on a 13-week contract in Florence, South Carolina. The 36-bed unit serves adolescents, adults, and older adults with Epic charting and remote telemetry. First-time travelers are accepted.

• Assess medical-surgical and general surgery patients
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products
• Monitor remote telemetry and respiratory support
• Prepare patients for surgery and recovery
• Perform wound care, drain care, and wound vac support
• Assist with tracheostomy, tube, and ostomy care
• Coordinate surgeon rounds and respond to clinical changes

• Active South Carolina or compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 3 years of medical-surgical experience
• Epic charting system experience

• ACLS and NIHSS
• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I or II experience
