Per Diem Med Surg RN in South Carolina

A Per Diem Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide adult inpatient care in a hospital unit in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit uses Epic and cares for adults with a 1:5 ratio.

• Assess adult medical-surgical patients and update care plans
• Administer blood products, insulin, oxygen therapy and IV medications
• Manage peripheral lines, ports and PICC-related care
• Provide ostomy, feeding tube, tracheostomy and surgical drain care
• Support bowel obstruction care, wound care and isolation precautions
• Perform phlebotomy and assist with rapid response and code teams

• Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina
• Current BLS certification
• 2 years of medical-surgical experience
• Epic charting experience

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level 1 or 2 experience
