Travel Med Surg RN in Camden, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Camden, South Carolina. The unit uses Epic and serves general medical-surgical patients with COVID.

• Assess and monitor adult medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy
• Support telemetry monitoring and rhythm changes
• Provide respiratory and isolation care
• Coordinate blood product and tube care
• Respond to changes in patient condition

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license or Compact license in hand
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
• 2+ years of medical-surgical experience
• IV start and peripheral line management skills
• Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation skills

• Telemetry and cardiac drip management
• Chest tubes, ABG interpretation, and HFNC
• Wound care, wound vac, and drain management
• Ortho trauma, total joint replacement, or traumatic brain injury care
