Travel Med Surg RN in Florence, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide med-surg care in an acute care hospital in Florence, South Carolina on a 10-week contract. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with typical medical-surgical diagnoses including diabetes and renal disease, and uses Epic charting.

• Provide care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Administer insulin and support blood glucose management
• Assist with wound care, ostomy care, feeding tubes, and line care
• Support oxygen therapy, oral suctioning, and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary services

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license or compact license in hand before start
• Basic Life Support certification
• 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience with 1:6 to 1:7 patient ratios
• Epic charting system experience
• Medical-surgical, MS/Tele, telemetry, insulin, and rapid response skills

• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Advanced med-surg skills including dysrhythmia management, IV starts, PICC and port care, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring
