Travel Med Surg RN in Florence, SC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Florence, South Carolina. The renal-focused unit uses Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor adults and geriatrics with renal and medical surgical needs
• Administer medications and oxygen therapy
• Manage feeding tubes and peripheral lines
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control practices
• Support care for CVA patients and other complex medical surgical cases
• Work with IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license or Compact license in hand prior to start
• Basic Life Support certification
• 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience
• CVA care experience
• Feeding tube care and management experience
• Oxygen administration, nasal cannula use, and peripheral line care experience

• IV start and maintenance
• Rapid response or code team experience
