Travel Med Surg RN in Saint Johnsbury, VT

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will care for primarily adult medical-surgical patients in a critical access hospital on a 13-week contract in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. The assignment includes medical, surgical, observation, swing bed and outpatient care, with occasional pediatric patients. The setting offers broad practice and a collaborative nursing team in rural Vermont.

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate care with providers, nursing leadership and support staff
• Deliver care for adult medical-surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient and occasional pediatric patients
• Support charge RN duties when needed
• Precept other nurses when asked
• Use the nursing process to promote safe, compassionate care

• Current Vermont Registered Nurse license or Compact Multi-State Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• ACLS
• 3 years of recent acute care Registered Nurse experience

• Charge RN experience
• Meditech experience
