Travel Med Surg RN in Ogden, UT

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will care for medical-surgical patients in an acute care hospital in Ogden, Utah on a 13-week contract. The unit has 26 beds, 6:1 ratios, tech support, Meditech charting, and receives patients returning from heart procedures.

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs, labs, and clinical changes
• Administer medications and manage controlled substances safely
• Provide basic patient care and support daily needs
• Assist with NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drips
• Coordinate care with techs and the interdisciplinary team
• Prepare patients returning from cath lab procedures
• Educate patients and families on the plan of care

• Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Acute care nursing skills in medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and patient care

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Some medical-surgical experience
