Travel Med Surg RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients in a busy medical surgical unit in a short term acute care hospital in Lubbock, Texas, on a 13-week contract. The 30-bed unit uses Epic and sees a 1:5 assignment. It is a Level II trauma center, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Deliver nursing care for adult and geriatric medical surgical patients
• Monitor surgical and medical conditions and report changes promptly
• Manage admissions, discharges, and bedside shift handoff
• Administer medications, fluids, oxygen therapy, and IV care
• Assist with wound care, drains, feeding tubes, and ostomy care
• Use safe patient handling equipment and coordinate with support teams

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with 1:5 patient assignments
