Travel Med Surg RN in Mckinney, TX

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for medical-surgical patients in a hospital in McKinney, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit has 33 beds, a 1:6 ratio, Meditech charting, and telemetry, pre- and post-surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and GI patients.

• Provide direct care for medical-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changing patient conditions
• Administer medications and ordered treatments
• Prepare patients for preoperative and postoperative care
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments and interventions in Meditech
• Use bladder scanners, IV support tools, and mobility equipment as needed

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification

• ACLS certification
• CPI or SAMA training
