Travel Med Surg RN in Georgetown, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care in a hospital med/surg unit on a 13-week contract in Georgetown, Texas. The unit has 15 beds, a 1:5 ratio, MEDITECH charting, and values flexible, team-oriented care.

• Assess medical-surgical patients and update care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and routine treatments
• Monitor post-operative hip and knee replacement and colectomy patients
• Collaborate with RNs, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in MEDITECH
• Use infusion pumps and other unit equipment safely
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Medical-surgical nursing skills

• ACLS certification
• Rhythm interpretation experience
