Travel Med Surg RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult medical and surgical patients in a hospital unit during a 13 week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 32 beds, uses Meditech, and staffs 1:5 day and 1:6 night ratios.

• Monitor medical-surgical patients and report status changes
• Assist with perioperative and postoperative care
• Support care for transplant, dialysis, and diabetic patients
• Administer medications and ordered treatments
• Document assessments and interventions in Meditech
• Use unit communication tools to support care coordination

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Medical-surgical nursing experience

• ACLS certification
• Transplant, dialysis, or diabetic patient experience
