Travel Med Surg RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care hospital in Lubbock, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Epic charting and serves a busy mix of medical and surgical cases in a level II trauma setting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess adults and geriatrics with medical and surgical needs
• Administer medications, blood products, and ordered therapies
• Manage IV access, central lines, and respiratory support
• Provide wound, drain, ostomy, and feeding tube care
• Monitor patients with sepsis, infection, trauma, and abdominal issues
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, bedside handoff, and escalation needs

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• 1 year of medical surgical experience
• 5-6 patient ratio experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with IVs, central lines, respiratory support, wound care, and drains
