Travel Med Surg RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide care on a transplant nephrology unit in a hospital for a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The 20-bed unit uses Meditech and serves patients with nephrology, renal, dialysis and kidney transplant needs. It is a Level 1 trauma hospital with a 1:6 ratio.

• Assess and monitor medical-surgical patients with nephrology, renal, dialysis and kidney transplant needs
• Administer ordered medications and treatments according to the plan of care
• Coordinate care with dialysis services and the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in Meditech
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery and self-management
• Support unit flow by collaborating with nurses, techs and the unit secretary

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ADN from an accredited program
• Medical-surgical, nephrology, renal, transplant and dialysis care skills
